  Ammar Al Hourani qualified from Glasgow Dental School in 2009 and gained an interest in Endodontics early on in his career. Having completed several years as a Senior House Officer and General Dental Practitioner in various specialities including Restorative Dentistry, Oral Medicine, Oral & Maxillofiacial Surgery at Glasgow and Dundee Dental Hospital. His interest led him to embark on a 3-year full time DDSc endodontic training programme at Liverpool Dental School in which he achieved his Membership in Endodontics specialism examination by the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh (MEndo RCS Edin). Alongside his training, he completed his Doctorate (DDSc) in Endodontics, his research examined the effect of orthodontic treatment on traumatised teeth and its pulpal implications.

  Ammar is currently a Consultant/ Specialist in Endodontics working in several private endodontic referral clinics in London, where he resides with his wife and two children.

  Ammar lectures nationally and internationally with many distinguished educational institutes and has a real passion for teaching and academia. He is currently completing his Diploma in Medical Education. His passion for education inspired him to create ‘The EndoGuys’. He is the Director and co-founder of this educational platform which serves to help GDPs achieve endodontic excellence through continuous professional education.

  Hatem Algraffee qualified as a dentist from the Royal London Hospital in 1996. In 2004 he completed four-year specialist training at Guys Hospital/Kings College achieving two Master degrees.

  Since 2004 Hatem has been involved in undergraduate and teaching and has over 15 years teaching experience at all levels. He is passionate and dedicated to teaching and this is reflected in the amount of time committed to mentoring colleagues both during and after completing PerioAcademy courses.

  He believes in delivering teaching excellence and to create a relaxed atmosphere to maximize learning. His emphasis is on practical teaching, repetition and then planning cases jointly. Long term mentoring is emphasized to reflect on progress and refinement of skills.

  Hatem works in private practice approximately four days a week with remaining time dedicated to Perio Academy teaching and mentoring colleagues.

  Zainab qualified from University of Sheffield in 2002 with BDS degree.
  After several years of gaining experience in the maxillofacial field, as well as general dentistry, she embarked on specialty in periodontology.

  Zainab completed her specialty training in Periodontology (MClinDent Perio MRD RCS (Ed), from Guy’s Dental Hospital. Since then, she has limited her practice to periodontics and implant therapy. Previous position was Clinical Lead Guys and St Thomas Periodontology Department

  Zainab’s time dedicates part of her time working at Guys Dental Hospital as a consultant periodontist She was a previously on the Board of Examiners for the examination MFDS at the Royal College of Surgeons, in Edinburgh.
