Hatem Algraffee qualified as a dentist from the Royal London Hospital in 1996. In 2004 he completed four-year specialist training at Guys Hospital/Kings College achieving two Master’s degrees.
Since 2004 Hatem has been involved in undergraduate and teaching and has over 15 years teaching experience at all levels. He is passionate and dedicated to teaching and this is reflected in the amount of time committed to mentoring colleagues both during and after completing PerioAcademy courses.
He believes in delivering teaching excellence and to create a relaxed atmosphere to maximize learning. His emphasis is on practical teaching, repetition and then planning cases jointly. Long-term mentoring is emphasized to reflect on progress and refinement of skills.

This course was amazing, I would highly recommend to all practitioners. Hatem is a fantastic teacher and provides ongoing mentorship afterwards for any cases you want to discuss. The theoretical learning is supported with lots of hands on experience, with things repeated to ensure all delegates understand everything. I initially did this course to improve my skills in the management of soft tissue around implants. However, I now feel competent in managing patients in the practice with periodontitis and these can all be treated in-house now. Other things covered in detail include functional/cosmetic crown lengthening and regeneration. This course has had a positive influence on my clinical decision making and broadened the scope of practice I can provide for patients under my care.

Would highly recommend, completed diploma in Manchester 2026 and immediately started to implement into practice. I never got the results I wanted from perio treatment and was always disappointed but since the course I have seen unbelievable outcomes for my patients from a disease perspective. Other learning included soft tissue grafting, peri-implantitis treatment, crown lengthening and frenectomy with the use of a laser. Practical sessions every time and Hatem is a fantastic tutor. For anyone who hates perio this is the perfect course because I guarantee you will start to enjoy it and look forward to cases coming through the door
